Dear colleagues,

It gives me a great pleasure to invite you to join us, during October 22nd - 25th 2009, at Swiss Hotel, Grand Ephessus-Izmir, during the II. International Congress of Anti-Aging & Aesthetic Medicine Society-Turkey. The Izmir Congress on Anti-Aging & Aesthetic Medicine will disseminate the latest scientific research on a wide range of anti-aging topics. Anti-Aging Medicine, focused mainly on (1) the discovery of the molecular mechanisms of age-related syndromes, pathologies and dysfunctions, (2) optimizing the AntiAging process, studies and promotes methods and therapies with positive results in lifespan prolongation and improvement of the quality of life. The battle against the aging process consists in a global interdisciplinary process, that does not only associate with various medical branches (internal medicine, pharmacologist, biochemists, genetics, nutritionists, psychologists, physiotherapists, endocrinologist, dermatologists, surgeons etc) but also with scientific research in the fields of pharmacy, physics, chemistry, biology,  etc, as well as with the study on specific socio-educational factors.

     Nutrition-Nutrigenetics, Hormone Optimization, Regulation of Energy Metabolism-Antiobesity, Medical Wellness, Pharmaceutics-Cosmeceutical and Phytopharmaceutical products, Aesthetic Medicine, AntiAging Stem Cell Therapy & Regenerative Biomedical Technologies which together comprise the important pillars of Anti-Aging medicine, are fully represented during the congress. Science based presentations and practical workshops will provide physicians with the necessary tools and knowledge to carry out aesthetic and cosmeceutic procedures, hormone replacement therapies, and genetic and diagnostic testing.

      Our Congress is supported by the European Society of AntiAging Medicine (ESAAM), American Academy of Academy of AntiAging Medicime (A4M), Australian Academy of AntiAging Medicine (A5M) and the World Academy of AntiAging Medicine (WAAAM).

      In addition, COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action B35 has organized a workshop on the 23rd of October, “Redox regulation of cellular stress response in aging: Role of macromolecular damage”, which is strengthening the scientific program of the congress.
